(Pug) CoCo Pug - Small - Female

CoCo Pug
Coco, having been neglected for some time, is self-confident once she has determined the new environment or situation is "safe". Accepts changes with caution, but can process it quickly! All she wants is to be loved and accepted. She is well-mannered, follows basic commands and gets along with other dogs. Her exposure to cats has been limited but seems to show some interest but with no aggression. With time, she could easily accept cats. A quiet family setting with older children. She gets along with other dogs but could easily deal with being "an only child" She's a "people" person. However, she needs a little extra time to "accept" any new folks to her environment. Once she approaches (it's her way of letting you know that she likes you) her new two-legged friend(s), shower her with lots of attention. She's an inside dog but enjoys warm days outside with her family. She is fully vetted, crate, leash and house trained. Her comfort zone currently is bedtime in her room (crate) and days spent freely within her environment inside the house. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. (Poodle) MONROE - Small - Male

MONROE
Hi my name is Monroe. I am a stately senior southern gentleman. I am not sure what I did to end up in a shelter in Alabama but that is where Critter Cavalry found me. I am 10 years old and I weigh 8 lbs. I am a very nice boy who has been someone's pet. They did not take very good care of me though as my left front leg was broken at one time and no one took me to the vet. That leg is no shorter than my other three. I use it sometimes but usually hold it up. Miss Vivienne wonders if my owner died and no one in the family wanted me. They took me to the shelter and dropped me off. I am a wonderful boy who loves to be in your lap. I am a little love bug. I get along well with other dogs and I love people. I would probably do better in a quieter environment. I would be an excellent companion for an older person or couple. I am housebroken and whine or go to the door to let you know that I need to go out. I do have the beginning of cataracts but I still see just fine. I am neutered, current on all my shots and microchipped. If you would like to learn more about me please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. View this pet on Petfinder.com

BAMA-FOSTER NEEDED
Meet Bama and Roll Tide!!! This little bundle of energy was found as a stray in rural Alabama. He is such a sweet boy that we do not want him to perish in that shelter. Bama is a great boy who will fit in any where. He gets along well with other dogs and he loves people. He walks well on a leash and appears to be housebroken. Pug mixes make excellent family pets. Bama would be an excellent addition to a family and would be someone to watch TV with. He loves to snuggle and would be a great addition. Bama is neutered, current on all his shots and microchipped. (Pug) Ida Claire - Small - Female

Ida Claire
Ida Claire is an appx 1-2 year old female Pug/Chihuahua mix who weighs about 15 lbs. Ida Claire is super girl who loves to play, cuddle, and run in amazing circles with her foster canines!!! Ida Claire came to us with a previously broken leg that had healed creating a false joint. Though the leg looks awkward, she can bare weight on it and uses it properly with no pain. At first we thought we would need to amputate, but now the vets agree that it is painless and well used and it is better for her to keep the leg. She is a very friendly dog that likes everyone she meets and does very well with all other animals!!! Ida Claire is spayed, recently housebroken (also uses wee pads if necessary), up to date on shots, current on preventatives, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $125. You must complete an application before being able to visit a dog. If you expect to leave the dog alone for long periods of time, please do not consider adopting a puppy. Puppies need lots of attention and companionship. Thanks. View this pet on Petfinder.com

(Poodle) Rizzo (Operation Sweethearts) - Small - Female

Rizzo (Operation Sweethearts)
Rizzo is an appx 5-6 year old female black Poodle who currently weighs about 10 lbs. Rizzo was one of nearly 100 dogs rescued from the ARC Operation Sweetheart raid in Wingo, KY on February 14, 2012. Rizzo was a matted mess when she was rescued....her eyes were so matted together that she couldn't see anything at all. As the mats were cut away and she could see the face of the volunteer looking at her, the relief just expelled from her chest. This is one of the sweetest girls ever. She had major surgery to remove mammary masses and was also spayed, so she should live a happy healthy life. Rizzo would love nothing more than to just be someone's lap dog....she does great and enjoys the company of other dogs, but would be fine as an only dog as long as she wasn't left alone all day long. She is great with all people, a little shy at first....but so sweet and also, super quiet, not your typical yapster!!!! Her adoption fee is $125, she is spayed, has had a complete dental, is up to date on shots, current on preventatives and microchipped. You must complete an application before being able to visit a dog. If you expect to leave the dog alone for long periods of time, please do not consider adopting a puppy. Puppies need lots of attention and companionship. Thanks. View this pet on Petfinder.com

(Pug) Velma and Halo (Bonded Pair) - Small - Female

Velma and Halo (Bonded Pair)
Velma and Halo are sister Pugs who are 6 years old and very bonded, so they must be adopted as a pair. They are 12 and 15 lbs and came from a breeding situation. When they first came into the program they were very shy and not accustomed to human interaction and love. Now they are all about the love!!!! And such funny sisters they are!!!! Halo loves to be held like a baby and Velma enjoys her outdoor exploring time. Both Pugs suffer from dry eye, common to the breed, and require daily drops. The sisters are doing very well with their housebreaking, they will use wee pads if they must be left for long periods of time, but have learned how to ask to go outside, both in different ways. They are spayed, up to date on shots, current on preventatives, and microchipped. The adoption fee for the pair is $150. You must complete an application before being able to visit a dog. If you expect to leave the dog alone for long periods of time, please do not consider adopting a puppy. Puppies need lots of attention and companionship. Thanks. View this pet on Petfinder.com

(Poodle) Sir Bentley - Large - Male

Sir Bentley
Sir Bentley is an appx 1.5 year old Standard Poodle, male, who currently weighs about 50 lbs (working on weight gain). Sir Bentley was rescued after he had been living alone in the woods for over a year, being spotted by "neighbors" but no one tried to bring him in until one neighbor heard about it and made it happen. Aside from the fact that he was matted and underweight, you would never know that he has been without people for this long because he LOVES everyone!!!!!! Sir Bentley does great with other animals and all people and is so happy to have love again and companionship. He has lots of Standard Poodle energy so he will need an active family that appreciates his athleticism and intelligence. He is officially housebroken!!!! He has been neutered, is heartworm negative, up to date on shots, current on preventatives, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $125. You must complete an application before being able to visit a dog. If you expect to leave the dog alone for long periods of time, please do not consider adopting a puppy. Puppies need lots of attention and companionship. Thanks. View this pet on Petfinder.com
